How strong am I?

Put in your bodyweight and a recent set. You get your estimated max and where it lands among raw powerlifting competitors at your weight.

Compared with 82,737 raw lifters in the 83 kg class.

These are competitors, not gym-goers. Everyone in this data trained for a meet, so even mid-pack here beats most people in a regular gym.

How it works

  • The numbers come from OpenPowerlifting, the open record of powerlifting meets. Each raw lifter counts once per lift, at their best meet result. Equipped lifts, disqualifications and lifters under 16 are left out.
  • Your set becomes an estimated one-rep max, the same Epley and Brzycki average the 1RM calculator uses. A single counts as it is.
  • You are compared within your IPF weight class. When a class has fewer than 30 lifters, the whole category is used instead.

Questions

Why compare with competitors and not gym-goers?
Meet lifts are judged and recorded. Gym numbers posted online are self-reported and often generous. The catch: competitors are already a strong crowd, so read your result as where you would stand at a meet.
Can I enter pounds?
The meet records are in kilos, so the check runs in kilos. One pound is 0.4536 kg.
Can I share my result?
Yes. The link carries your lift, weight, reps, bodyweight and category, so whoever opens it sees the same result. Nothing is saved on our side.
